Tutor NOTES
- Hi, my name is Nell Norman-Nott. I am a tutor, clinical researcher, and PhD candidate. I completed my degree in Psychology with honours with a high distinction from UNSW.
- I am excited to be currently undertaking further study into my area of interest, the psychological and neurological aspects of chronic pain, via a PhD at UNSW. I also work as a clinical researcher at Neuroscience Research Australia as part of the Pain IMPACT Group.
- I enjoy the process of assisting psychology students to develop the necessary academic skills during undergrad and honours. For example, I tutor students in the introductory units (Psych 1A and 1B), intermediate subjects (Research Design and Analysis, and Biological and Developmental) and in the advanced topics (Personality and Social, Testing and Ethics, Research Methods and Theory, Perception and Cognition, and Abnormal Psychology).
- Having attained straight HDs throughout my undergrad, I understand what markers expect so can identify opportunities for students to develop and enhance their assignments.
- I am passionate about enhancing students’ own abilities, I seek to support but also to challenge students, so they are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to tackle assignments more independently in the future.
